Jill Annable
Executive Director for Academic Excellence @NCEA
Jill Annable is the executive director of academic excellence for NCEA. As a key thought leader, Ms. Annable leads professional development for Catholic school teachers and micro-credentialing programs in the area of academic excellence, a core competency under the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS). As assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction and technology integration for the Diocese of Grand Rapids. Ms. Annable led initiatives on academic excellence for 31 schools. She established networks of teachers and school leaders so that embedded, ongoing professional development became the norm. Her initiatives ignited growth in inclusive education, culturally-responsive teaching practices, and faith formation in the Theology of the Body. She also served as a regional coordinator for accreditation for the Michigan Nonpublic School Accrediting Association and as adjunct instructor at Aquinas College.
Maricolleen Covington
RTI Specialist @Corpus Christi Catholic School
Maricolleen Covington is an RTI Specialist at Corpus Christi Catholic School in the Diocese of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She works closely with K-8 teachers to promote best practices in literacy instruction and provides instructional support to students who qualify for tier 3 interventions. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a masters degree in teaching and curriculum with a literacy specialist endorsement.
